The 8740 Series RF loads are compact, non-radiating solutions designed for continuous RF power dissipation in high-power transmitter and transmission line systems. Built for environments where thermal control and space efficiency are critical, these loads convert RF energy into heat through a hollow resistive film element, with the heat carried away efficiently by internal water flow.
With broadband performance, low VSWR, and practically no heat transfer to the outer housing, the 8740 Series can be installed in any position, including tight or thermally sensitive spaces. Operation requires a potable water supply of up to 8 gallons (30.4 liters) per minute, making these loads well suited for long-duration, high-power applications where aggressive heat removal is essential.
